Gotta swap the brakes on my old lady's car (no pics) and was curious what you guys have found to be the quietest brands.

Is that even a metric for brake pads? who cares if they are reliable and last forever.

proper install goes a long way to quietness. I have seen many times people change their brakes and leave the spacing springs off or not lube the contact surfaces and that is a guaranteed noise maker.
Brakes with pistons on both sides are generally quieter as well, this is getting more common on even regular cars and trucks.

I mainly use Napa’s gold brakes and have had zero issues with them on at least a dozen vehicles over the last 5 years. Wagner Thermoquiets seem to be good too but I’ve only used them twice.

go with the ceramics, the cheap oem replacements put out a lot of brake dust to dirty up your rims

Sta-Puft
A little tough on keeping your rims clean, but quite quiet.

Get the ones that came on the vehicle from the factory, best balance of performance and noise/dust.
Most foreign manufacturers only sell one pad part number.
Domestics tend to sell different grades of pads. IE the Ford OEM pad is different from the Motorcraft part also sold at the Ford dealership.
You can get good prices online from several OEM dealers.
