Not asking you to drink the Kool Aid. I’m asking you to find another way. They are there.

Not a luxury I could ever afford.
I remember an old divorce lawyer telling me that the accusing spouse was always guilty of the accusation.
Ponder that.

Maybe. So what’s your response?
Sounds like y’all are folding rather than gutting it out.

Bruh, you have done nothing but reject reality when it is staring at you in the face in this thread with your bullshite anecdotes.
You are 100% burying your head in the sand, boomer.

and you sound like a stereotypical boomer

Exactly the sort of critical thinking I’ve come to expect from your generation.
Maybe it’s not all your fault. You were told you were special. You learned debate in echo chambers.
So maybe you are right. Maybe the system made you weak and ineffectual.

Are you new to the workforce or something?
Hardly. I can tell you for a fricking fact that I don't promote the shitty workers. I'm sorry you had terrible experiences, but when you say shite like that, it's clear you are just making things up or thinking of your particular situation.
I understand it happens, but "truth is, most..." is a childish way to say it. Because the truth is it's not true.
In any event, your warped sense of the corporate world is great news for the intentional slackers, no?

Devastating retort.
Is that really all ya got? You should quit.

Yeah. I've made a variation of your point in threads over the past couple of years and they just refuse to acknowledge it.
The 2008 Financial Crisis and then Covid couldn't have been timed worse for millennials. It all starts there.

Just like you were a product of unprecedented opportunity and circumstance the millennials will be subject to the same forces.
Geopolitics, government policy, demographic shifts, etc. will all play a heavy role.
It's safe to say a consumer-based economic system isn't going to work with the coming global demographic apocalypse.
That demographic apocalypse is why Russia is invading Ukraine right now, it's why China plans to invade Taiwan. It's sort of their last hurrah before the bottom totally falls out. The same collapse will occur in 90% of the world, and its why even Larry Fink of Blackrock says globalism is over.
No more world economy on the boomer scale, no more selling shite to 1 billion Chinese, no more dirt cheap manufacturing in southeast Asia or China.
All of the manufacturing that boomers outsourced for pennies is no longer going to be possible with the new order coming forth.
If you don't believe me just pay attention to the news to see all of the new manufacturing facilities re-locating to the US and Mexico.
Why is that happening? Because the US cant guarantee supply chain stability on the other side of the world with the locals getting aggressive. Boomers never had to deal with that squeeze, they whole world and its many resources at their fingertips the entire time. Plenty of resources and access to cheap manufacturing to make whatever the boomers wanted, and plenty of people to market to.

So you are saying you have no options because the world has conspired against you?
You serious, Clark?

LOL @ this thread on the OT, a place likely most active among disengaged "quiet quitters" who spend time on here while at work.
No doubt, the two posters in this thread complaining the most have over a half million posts between them.
Sounds like they’ve been quiet quitters since entering the work force.
I think the following quote sums up the reality of it all-
“Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”

Almost exactly what you said before. You can do better.
Unless you’d like to quit. Again.

Yes, I'll ponder that as you call this generation lazy and entitled.

Now, see. You stood up and made a point. Good on you. That’s a response I can respect a little.

I feel for the medium and older millennials. They were dealt a shittier hand than someone like me who is in the youngest age group of the generation

What are you talking about? This isn't a conspiracy. It's just facts.
Old people don't work, they don't buy things, they're on fixed incomes, they don't invest in companies.
When most of the world has more old people than young people, how do you make that work? A consumption based economy doesn't work in that scenario.

Trust me. It did.
Luckily I had this board to warn me. I have no clue what my life would have been like had I not come home to take a super low-paying job.
Some of my classmates didn't have real jobs for 2-3 years.
