When my mom smoked Silva Thins, my dad smoked Roi Tan Blunts, and we had green shag carpet in our den.

Just a reminder. 20 years ago wasn’t 1982. It was 2002.

Anyone else still base how long ago something was off of the year 2000?

Last week.

My mom is nearly 80 and still smokes. Not sure how much, but it’s a lot. We’ve begged her to quit.

Still got my grandfather's cigar ashtray from his office but it's in a closet. I'd love to be able to smoke at my desk like the good ole days.

20 years ago at my parents house. We have what most people call an outdoor kitchen which is like a guest house separate from their house where we have family functions and there’s still one in there.

Mid 90s in college.

If we are counting empty longnecks as ashtrays. Can’t recall if we had a real one though I’m sure we did.

My mom passed this year and I took her China set that my father bought her when he was in Japan on business back in 1964. It is a 12 piece service that also has individual ashtrays. Nice touch even then, conversation piece now.
