St. George will be like the section of the Zoo with White Tigers and Alligators...
Guess which section Worst BR will be like.

PD would be run through St. George
That is incorrect. The LEO presence will be EBR Sheriffs office just as it now.
As I understand it St. George will have maybe one PD officer that will be political in nature. Simply liaison to other LEO agencies.

It will be a fricking municipal/bureaucratic disaster.
Ever tried to get a building/electrical/plumbing permit in Central?
"Smaller government" means 1 or 2 people to handle the workload of 10. It means nobody knows WTF they are doing. It means nobody can get to it for a week. It means nobody has time to address the 1998 era website glitches.
But hey...free majority white schools.

Pretty sure there will be a few more tax dollars rolling into SG than Central.

In St. George, everything is grand. The buildings are made of gold, the women are all Devine. It's the magic of Disney coupled with the high class society of old Europe. The women are beautiful and plentiful. Everyone has a high paying job and the kids have a storybook childhood. There is the finest of scotch and brandy flowing from the tap and everyone is given a private gourmet chef. The views are pristine, only matched by the wonderful lifestyle.
Oh yea, and no blacks.

St George is the last bastion of hope for EBR Parish. If it fails, it will likely spell the end for any worthwhile taxbase here forever. It has nothing to do with race - just residents of a Parish who are tired of letting the city rape all of the resources, distributed amongst those who refuse to lend to the cause.

White people everywhere

It will be like Central, but with more College Degrees and less truck nuts.

The people that live in what SG will be aren't all packing up and leaving as soon as it fails. Some of them are too good to live in AP or LP, and a lot have been there for their entire lives. Most that would leave EBR already have.

We'll have a moat.

St George will have tall observation towers where you can safely observe the gunfire and chaos in BR from a distance.

My experience, having started a family in SG, is that young families are still leaving in droves. They'll stay until their kids are school age, then jump ship. Having those families (mine included) stay beyond their starter homes would be YUGE.

My son and his family moved a couple of three months ago.

I invest in real estate in the area, as well as live here. Obviously I have a vested interest here and talk to several real estate agents on a pretty regular basis. AP and LP are still exploding. I think in the last few years, more and more people have put stakes down in South BR thinking there would be a fight for control, re: St George. I wasn't on board last time, and had many a debate with family and friends who signed the petition because I was afraid of what SG would be with a lower funded and less protected BR right next door. But after Broome, her continued frick ups, and with more frick ups trending... as well as the police shooting last year and the coming Alton Sterling riots, it's time to hedge my bets. If the southern part of this parish can't become the control center of this parish, there really is no hope for it. We just built a house here and my renewed St George vigor is my real last ditch effort to defend it. If it fails, then I guess I'll ride the wave a few years but the future would most certainly look more dim.

I don't know, Scruffy. The French are assholes.
