No, it's not.

No, we remember. It's you that doesn't realize that this free society values our freedom to walk around our neighborhoods without being harassed and attacked by unrestrained dogs more than it values your freedom to be an a-hole irresponsible dog owner.

That's exactly the point, and the reason leash laws exist. Things escalate in an instant for animals, and there is no way for you or anyone to predict it. Restrain your animals.

Jesus people are stupid. Same reason you can’t shoot the mailman, a kid selling cookies, or even a person stealing a garden gnome or your patio furniture...

You can only use lethal force if you fear death or great bodily harm. Animal control coming to tell you that your neighbor is a bitch and called them about you doesn’t qualify. Animal control isn’t going to come take your dog for that. They will literally give you a warning and probably agree that your neighbor is being a bitch. (Unless you are lying about your dogs behavior and demeanor). Stop being trashy and follow the leash laws.

If I thought there was a single chance in hell my dog would bite a child I would shoot him myself.

Until then he will be living his best dog life inside the electric fence. Chasing deer and playing in the pond. Eating rabbit shite and rolling in the mud-with no chain link fence to jump.

It doesn't matter what you think. Nevermind the fact that you could be wrong (how many vicious dog attacks does the owner say "he's never done anything like this!"?), but we can't write laws for good dogs and bad dogs. Just dogs.

Well, best of luck to you both.

I have a neighbor that walks her little shite dog by our house but is always on the lookout to see if we are outside. If we are, and my 40lb lab mix is outside not on a leash, which he never is, she stares at us for a while as if to say “pick up your dog”, before turning back around.

My dog will just about have an anxiety attack staring down the 15 cats that live across the street, but he won’t go after them b/c he knows he can’t. Hard for some people to understand that some dogs actually listen and obey their owner.

I’ve told the woman he’s not going to even approach you at the street b/c for 1 he doesn’t care, and b, he obeys my rules. She says she doesn’t want to risk it, which is fine by me. Less shite I have to pick up b/c I know those Vienna sausage terds by the street didn’t come from my dog.

I understand I’m breaking the law, but I couldn’t care less. My dog has never been on a leash and in the 4 years we’ve been in this neighborhood has never been in anyone else’s yard. I’ve seen countless other dogs in my yard, whether on a leash or not.

He did say “inside an electric fence”.

Also, I hate people who don’t keep their dog on a leash. No one gives a shite how obedient your dog is. It’s not always about you. Follow the rules like everybody else, and keep your damn dog on a leash instead of purposely making your neighbors uncomfortable every time they want to take their dog for a walk.

I hate people that can't control their damn dog, and people that walk their dog in front my house and let it shite in my yard and not pick it up.

If you're uncomfortable about a lab laying down in it's yard, then maybe you shouldn't go outside. You want to get nervous about a threatening looking dog not on a leash, ok, but a lab? when's the last time a lab ran into the street and mauled another dog or person?

Again, it isn’t always about you. Be a more considerate neighbor
