The dog, your property, is on your property, therefore nothing illegal is happening.

HOWEVER, if your neighbor entices your dog to leave the property, i.e. entrapment, you may have a case.

Put your dumb dog on a leash or leave it in your backyard if you're in a neighborhood you a-hole

You could have just yelled.

"Hey everyone, I'm fricking trash"

Your dog must be in a fenced yard or on a leash, in your case, Im assuming a chain staked right next to your trailer.

How does she know you don’t have an electric fence?

My dog will lay down 2 feet from the buzz line but he will never cross it.

You are fine until your dog crosses the line to her property.

And there it is.........

Let the pound come. Let them come and find out what America is all about.

I wonder if the lethal injection they'll give you is the same they're gonna give your dog.

I don’t think RS 3:2771 recognizes “invisible fences” or any electronic controls over a dog.

Because it doesn't matter, the yard is not enclosed.

Still breaking the law.

No, he's fine until the pound shows up.

You can’t be breaking the law with an unleashed dog on your own property?

What about wood fences? All dogs off a leash inside wood fences can have the pound called on them?

Dog must be either on a leash or in an enclosed yard.

No, because they're inside an enclosed yard.

This isn't that hard.

Go out and build a fence around him and she won't be able to do anything.

Chain link works best. Hard for the city to argue with chain link

Idk. We have some acreage and my dog does great on an electric fence. He will chase deer/coyote/rabbit/whatever to the fence line and then lay down.

The electric fence is just as good as a wooden one.

The cop down the street has the same set up.

I just can’t see a dog getting picked up by the pound while being in it’s own yard. No matter what equipment is keeping him there.

Well that's great, but the law isn't written for your dog specifically. It's written for dogs.

No, it's not. Not as far as the law is concerned, and not in reality, either.

The first time your dog snaps and decides he really wants something, he won't give a shite about that electric fence.

Don't follow his example, he's breaking the law, too.

It can and does happen, and for good reason.

You and everyone else might think they know their dogs, but you have no idea what might set him off. Even a "harmless" 40lb lab will frick up a kid if something rubs him the wrong way. And if something like that does happen, god forbid, I hope the law allows for charging you with homicide.

Exactly.

Tagged property, on MY property. If the pound comes to take my property on my property, that is fricking theft.

Some of you forget we live in a free society. Y’all have forgotten what it means to live in the USA.
