It may be a little harsh to ban Harry from the ceremony, but Meghan has no right to be there. Correct…. It’s similar to LSU football in that while it isnt a ‘neccessity’ per se, it brings in and distributes multiple millions of pounds , mostly becuase of the entire tourism niche it creates and sustains.. There are tons of people who have traveled to England and planned trips around visiting Buckingham Palace and the like, especially when the weddings take place .

RAF plane that landed at Aberdeen was carrying William, Andrew, Edward and Sophie, not Anne —my mistake, she was already in Scotland. They loaded into cars and drove past helicopter, so may be driving to Balmoral. It’s about a 1.5-hour drive (I thought longer). I’m presuming choppers grounded due to weather.

It’s more than just tourism. The Crown Estate has holdings in commercial properties, agricultural lands, shorelines/seabeds, mines, forest lands, etc. The vast majority of these profits go directly to HM Treasury.
