quit trying to dig yourself out of your hole. You made an arse out of yourself. Just go with it.

you must be new to "my doggy died" threads. this isn't a new hole for me. this thread is a mere continuation of my pre-existing thoughts. Nothing personal against OP, these threads are just a pet peeve of mine....

You could avoid your "pet peeve" by ignoring the threads rather than being an arse in all of them.

you should focus more on helping the OP like I was rather than being bothered by my advice.

Obligatory it's time to be a good owner instead of letting em linger on because the power of love compels them to.

My father has been in the hospital for a month and moved back to ICU yesterday morning.

I’ve lost pets too. So has my Dad. Some of his saddest moments have been the loss of our pets. The man is golden.

Don’t tell me to get over a pet because the pet is not human and ther are people worse off. That’s ludicrous. It shows your ignorance.

We can be sorrowful on different levels for those we love, animals or humans. Those of us who have lost know the difference. Still painful. You have no idea, obviously, or you would understand the pain and the difference.

You’re an awful person. It’s sad. Sad for you.

Found out yesterday that a neighbor has been dealing with a pretty sudden extremely severe medical issue with spouse. Midish 30's and i don't know all facts but the future appears extremely bleak. Kind of ruined the day for me thinking about this situation and probable loss for them.

Get over it. Someone else will move into the property if they die.

I havent had a dog since i put my boy down, its too hard. I can get over natural/accidental deaths but not planned deaths. He'll always be the goodest boy to me

Seriously I am a very pro dog person who adored my dogs. OP and some others up in here need to gather some perspective. You can literally go and buy another dog the next day. I've tried to remain out of this discussion because I'm obviously calloused but some of you have lived very, very blessed lives if "putting down a dog is one of the hardest things ever".

Sorry for your loss and also for the soul less people that post on here. It’s sad that our culture has made people so desensitized that they can’t even have decency to other human beings.

It's weird. I've lost family members in the past, but this has affected me more. My wife feels the exact same way. I guess the difference is we saw him everyday and he was always happy to see us. My son was in kindergarten when he adopted him and is a sophomore in high school now. I've never been this attached to a pet before. We say now that we'll never get another, maybe that will change after a while. The hardest part is that I had to fly to Indianapolis yesterday and can't be with my family.

Man, I am truly sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what you are going through. I just don't understand why you are posting in a dog thread on TD. Go be with your wife and help her. She needs your love and support.

You are affected more by the loss of a pet....than a loss of family members???

And you don't see the problem with that perspective?

It’s by far not an a-hole perspective. If losing a 10 yr old dog is the hardest thing you’ve dealt with, that person needs to just shut it cause there are a ton real life tragedies all over.

Oh shut the frick up, chadboi

Just trying to help.

Instead of all this mourning over a pet....you should instead be thankful for the time you had with it.....that you are healthy.....that your kids are healthy....that your wife is healthy....etc....

Count your blessings...things could be much worse.
