Putt-Putt’s corporate website says there is one in Lake Charles that has weekly tournaments every Tuesday.

Please tell me that someone here has participated in one.

I worked at that putt putt as a sophomore in HS circa 89-90

It was incredible … we played $1 a hole, treated the back lot as a driving range and all sorts of shady shite. It would have been right across Florida from what now is a Capitol Schwin.

We had weekly official tourneys … and a lot of hot girls come through

. I used to play in the weekly tournaments in Baton Rouge back in 70’s (yea I’m old). They had amateur and professional levels. I won the city amateur tournament in 1974 my senior year of high school.

Seriously? It was next to Fun Far Park which was also at the corner of Florida and Airline. Putt Putt was it's own entity not part of other facilities.

I remember it. IIRC it was right next to the strip mall that had the big music store (CD Warehouse?).

My father in law won many in the 90s early 2000’s. He even advanced to a national level out of state at some point. He used to correct people on the difference between mini-golf and putt putt all the time.

there was a place that had different sized basketball hoops. It was like putt-putt, but with basketballs.

I think it only lasted a few months..some of the backboards were curved and bent in strange ways.. you had to hit em right and make the ball bounce in the net

Didnt putt putt have a commercial with a song that said “putt putt for the fun of it” over and over again?

OP here, when I went there back in the day I remember a man named George "Seabiscuit" Seamon (or something very close to that) He could play real well and gave me some pointers. I think he won quite a few of the weekly tournaments. Hope he is still around, a nice fellow.

I'm trying to remember when it closed. It was still there in the early 90s.
