I linked the in vitro study last week. Here is what he posted 2 hours ago about his real life use (yes anecdotal so far)

“I feel I need to share this with the public at large. I have used Ivermectin now on multiple carefully selected patients with a 100% response rate within 48 hours. Avoided intubation at all cost even if requiring 100% FiO2. All of them have improved. The earliest patients in the series are now on 2LPM nasal cannula and afebrile. No side effects noted. In my opinion as a pulmonary specialist, this is amazingly effective and should be considered in carefully selected patients. I’m trying desperately to get the word out, but as a community pulmonologist who does not work for an academic institution, this has proven extremely difficult. Additional patient in Cornell has now been treated with Ivermectin after I was able to convince their faculty to do so. This patient’s status has also markedly improved after administration of therapy after failing to respond to hydroxychloroquine based regimen.“

“0.2 mg/kg PO single dose. Used it in rapidly deteriorating patients who failed hydroxychloroquine based regimen. Not used in patient who were already intubated “

So if the hydroxychloroquine doesn't work we can take our dogs' heartworm chews? People are going to be rushing Petsmart now.

I just got finished working cows with this shite. Gonna go ahead and pour it on one of my kids back to see if it works like a vaccine. I will report back later.

Yes, they're very tasty. I couldn't stop at just one, like when I was a kid with the exlax chocolate.

He sounds very enthusiastic, hope there's something to this. But I would think a pulmonologist would understand that you can't realistically get 100% Fi02 in non-intubated patients, not even with a non-rebreather mask.

Repost of the in vitro study

“We report here that Ivermectin, an FDA-approved anti-parasitic previously shown to have broad-spectrum anti-viral activity in vitro, is an inhibitor of the causative virus (SARS-CoV-2), with a single addition to Vero-hSLAM cells 2 hours post infection with SARS-CoV-2 able to effect ~5000-fold reduction in viral RNA at 48 h. Ivermectin therefore warrants further investigation for possible benefits in humans.”

Did it help? I have rosacea and the drinking I’ve been doing is not helping.

I read a while ago, mid-March I think, that company who makes it was pushing for more tests.

Someone on here posted Australian/New Zealand tests with it a few weeks back too, so I suppose word about has been floating around for a while.

Any drug other than hydrocloroquine doesn't get that much public attention though.
