Thankfully current dog and one of the horses are fine. My last dog was terrified.

No idea on the other horse and apparently the neighbors do a huge show. Looks like I’m babysitting him tonight with a bottle of ace

I have had five dogs in my lifetime and none have even flinched at fireworks.

Why would Independence Day be worse than New Year's Eve? There are far more shot then.

Sweet anecdote.

I have one too.

Years ago, I made the mistake of walking mine around while fireworks were popping. She was jumping around whenever they went off and eventually she got to a point where it was like she was crawling home.

She hates the fireworks.

My "toughest" dog, a pit mix, is the biggest wimp when it comes to fireworks. HATES them.
Plus, when one dog gets scared, it seems to rile up the other ones, who otherwise may not care.
Even a 90% blind and deaf dog foster we had went crazy one New Year's Eve.

My lab gave no fricks....

Probably because a shot gun was blasted over her head quite a few times...

These threads are funny where everyone tries to talk like they have a full blown wolf in their house.

So predictable.

Kids started early last night.

Pup was pretty wound up till about 2 this morning. He looks at the ceiling so guess he thinks they are trying to break in from the roof.

We have a lot of fireworks where I am. People all around are shooting them then there is a downtown thing where the city has a fireworks show.

One of my dogs just barks back and it doesn't bother him. My other dog gets scared, but has gotten better over the years. She doesn't leave my side. When they would start and the tv wasn't on, I turned it on or put on music and that seemed to help calm her down.

But the dog I had before these two use to get so scared he would shake and every time there was a pop or boom he would jump then shake even more. But he really did have serious anxiety problems. I thought it was crazy when people said their dog had anxiety until I had that dog.

Every morning it was the same routine. He would go absolutely insane when I left for work. He would get in front of the door as if he was trying to block me from going out then when I closed the door he would whine as if it was the worst thing I could do to him.

But with him, the whole tv or music noise seemed to help somewhat.
