No, what organization or group has come out and said driving with hazards on in low visibility conditions leads to increased safety?

I want statistics, not your opinion.

If safety was your concern, you wouldn't drive with your hazards on.

I think you're just trolling though.

Who the frick are you? I don’t care what you want.

There are a lot of retards on the road. Hell, there are some in this thread who admittedly can’t tell the difference from someone driving with hazards on and someone stalled on the side of the road.

If visibility is low, driving speeds should be reduced. Some retards don’t slow down. If I’m on the interstate driving 50 because of torrential downpour rain, my hazards are on so that the retard still driving 75 doesn’t run into the back of me. I’m totally fine with you thinking I’m stopped if you see my hazards. Slow the frick down. I’m an excellent driver so if the weather is so bad that I need to drive 50, you do too.

And I don't care about your opinion that driving with hazards on is more safe. Because it's not.

Ok grandpa. Congrats on being a safety hazard that the rest of us that can deal with rain have to now watch out for because you won't pull off the fricking road.

Worse is blinkers don't work with hazards so you can't indicate intent.

This has always been my biggest issue with these morons.

The lights on a vehicle are not there to make you “feel”safe. Each one communicates something to an educated driver. You should learn what every light on your vehicle or vessel is designed for. Every driver should use RainX. The difference is like night and day.

If I have to turn my wipers on you better be damn sure my hazards are coming on. You don’t need to be passing anyone or switching lanes in the rain.

Why not offer up your stats first and just end the argument?

How many wrecks have been caused by hazards on in a near blinding downpour? I'd venture to say almost none.
I actually witnessed one last week. Crazy downpour, I was travelling east on I-610. Most cars had hazards on. we get to the point where I-610 and I-10 rejoin just before the highrise. Nearly every car on 610 needs to get over 2 lanes in short order, but due to a lack of turning signals visible, I saw a 3 car accident result from the lane changing.

You're a shitty driver and part of the problem this country has with idiots being behind the wheel.

Congratulations.

I’m very likely the most capable driver on the road in my vicinity at all times.

You can't even follow simple driving guidelines, but you're "the most capable driver in the vicinity".

Right.

So your dumb arse just stays behind all those big rigs that create a huge spray? All that does is further reduce your visibility. Sounds like a safe plan.
