And even the office that prosecuted Williams, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, has led the charge to free Williams from prison.
Is this the actual prosecutors who worked on the case, or current prosecutors 23 years later? That would seemingly make a big difference.

Is St Louis County the one with the soros DA or is that the city?
The city previously had a Soros DA. She "resigned" when shown proof of how she defrauded the city and used city money to pay for the nursing degree she was pursuing instead of showing up to court.
The county has a guy who made his name during the Michael Brown shite. He's about to replace Cori Bush in congress.

All that isn't written with that very lovely picture of Marcellus in the OP. If true, I'm not saying he did it, his record probably screams of someone who would do that shite. frick the media in this country.

I swear that some news source could get viewers (and money) if they would report and include all the relevant facts. Let the reader decide on what happened.

Not in Missourah son, you don’t know Mike Parson and especially Andrew Bailey.

They tried playing the race card yesterday…

An attorney for Williams argued Monday before the Missouri Supreme Court that a potential juror was excluded from Williams' trial based on race and that his Tuesday execution should be halted so the St. Louis County Circuit Court can examine evidence more closely.
…it didn’t work.
Governor Parson & Mo. Supreme Court just re-iterated no stay as of 10:00 a.m.

MSNBC? Really? Gee, liberal slant much? The “St. Louis Prosecutors Office” is having second thoughts! The people that prosecuted him aren’t having second thoughts! That was 25 yrs ago and as you can probably guess that office make-up looks a lot different today! This case has been reviewed on many levels and “no jury nor court, including at the trial, appellate, and Supreme Court levels, have ever found merit in his innocence claims.”

What about the prosecutors that originally tried the case?
Here in Orleans there are scores of people that Jason Williams released or refused to prosecute after the unanimous verdict Supreme Court ruling who the original prosecutors believe to be guilty.

Sounds like it’s more than circumstantial evidence. He was selling a dead woman’s stuff the next day. Criminals thrive on sympathy and will lie and say they are innocent to the end.
If I had to guess the DA office is now some liberal Soros backed group and not the original staff that convicted him years ago. That’s why they are pushing this.

I understand wanting the death penalty, but even being wrong ONE time makes it not worth it and there's NO WAY the gov't can get it right 100% of the time.

Sure there is. Death penalty should only be used when there is solid evidence and a conviction by jury. I disagree with the death penalty in situations like what is described in the OP where apparently there was only "eyewitness" testimony.
How are you differentiating between cases with “solid evidence and a conviction by jury” and “situations like what it described in the OP”?
The jury found him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The same jury would have had to sentence him to death. What other bar is there to clear?
FWIW I think this guy did it, from what I’ve read. But if you think there’s a chance they got it wrong in this case I’m not sure what mechanism you think could prevent the same thing from happening in others.

The VAST majority of people when asked would consider the gov't inept when it comes to doing things. Why we think they can effectively arbiter life and death is comical. I understand wanting the death penalty, but even being wrong ONE time makes it not worth it and there's NO WAY the gov't can get it right 100% of the time.
Jury of peers and indisputable evidence. Like a video of the crime occurring with clear identification, for example (and there are other examples).
If we have those things, I have no problem with it. If we don't, I don't think people should be put to death because of the reasons mentioned.
ETA:
But to expand on that, if the first parts I mentioned hold true, I think crimes other than murder deserve death. Child rape, extreme elderly abuse, etc.
