I was out there up your river last week and saw the grave stone up on the cypress knees for a Homer Chamet ? What’s the story on that ?

Homer Chaney
It was put there by his fishing buddies and family.
The Chaney family had a floating camp there for years.

We’ve seen the Prop Stop pics in prior threads…I feel like it’s time for a random instagram pic thread for the Blind River Bar.

I ain’t no IP lawyer, but I thought if you were using it and it already has secondary recognition, they can’t stop you just because they register it.

I think you’re right but I also think she has to try to defend its public use or it can actually void her claim altogether.

So if she doesn’t at least try to tell them they can’t use it I don’t think she can tell anyone they can’t use it or at least that’s my understanding.

Prop Stop has always been known for the worm bucket. Good for them.

As I understand copyright law, if it's been in the public domain and in use before the trademark was filed, it can't be enforced even when granted.

It seems Worm Bucket has been in use for some time and probably by more than 1 bar / restaurant.

I'm sure an OT Lawyer will chime in.

I've always thought mecca and Bayview could have made money. That was years ago and they failed

It was a fun place.

You might know. Which one did T buy? Not giving name but it went down compared to his other bar

Where do those baws get the money to afford some of those badass boats? Are they oil rig/construction business owners? And some of those trashy chicks are absolute smokes. Always wanted to check out Prop Stop when I was in college but never got the chance to witness it

Those two bars were more locals. Prop stop and blind river bar mostly comes from Northshore and new orleans folks that have money.

ETA: im old and do not go down there on weekends. I run traps and lines.

I agree. Its bad sometimes. However, heroin addicts shouldn't throw stones in a glass house

Most of the ones that I know personally are all business owners of some sorts. A buddy that owns a medical company out of Hammond has a really nice 42'Mystic

Sounds like Cocaine Kathy is trying to regain some of the local customers that she ran off in the first few years of ownership.

Me and a business partner want to buy the place and bring it back to the golden years.

Best years ever were when Milton and Robin ran it, and Willie was behind the bar and Bob was the DJ

She(Kathy) brought in a different element and pretty much said fk the locals. You know, the ones that have kept this place going for 30+ years.
