I sued SF here in Florida and won. My roof was trashed by storms and they denied my claim and appeal. The storm was so severe it tore my pool solar panels off my damned roof and they still said I didn’t have wind damage. It ended up costing SF double what it would have cost to just pay my claim as they should have done in the first place.

I do not feel guilty for filing a claim.

You're the dope in this situation. I'm sure there were plenty of chances in your 50 years that were claim worthy that you ate bc you're stupid.

He’s the dope? What the frick??

It’s thinking like yours that is part of the reason that has insurance so fricking sideways stupid these days. If someone can handle their issue without involving insurance, that’s a good thing, not a “dope” thing. You idiot.

A bunch of my neighbors are getting new roofs after their insurers approved their hail claims. They had no idea they had “damage” until a guy driving a truck with a roofing company decal sticker asked to check their roof.

Newsflash, they didnt have damage.

I love how they bury propaganda in this shite, “all made worse by climate change.” FU Chron.

Its not climate change. Its inflation

Everything having to do with home construction is expensive AF now

20 years ago a new roof on a typical 2000 sq ft home was like 8k

Now its 30k

I could never do business with that company. The name has unpleasant connotations.

The Texas Insurance Commission is a bunch of cucks who never stands up for property owners.

Why do roof replacements cost so much in Texas ? Almost double.

The same can be said for the Texas Railroad Commission. See ERCOT.

Amazing insurance only wants to insure areas where risk of loss is really low If they don’t want to write policies anymore then refund your customers for all the premiums they’ve been paying for decades

It is truly amazing how stupid you are on multiple subjects across multiple boards on here

Thank God for USAA! They are the only insurance company that is not trying to totally screw us. I just switched home and auto to them and saved nearly $4k a year. Had liberty mutual and my rate had increased about 375% since 2022.

We have ASI that is now part of Progressive. It has gone up 70% in the past 4 years. I have one claim in 13 yrs of owning this house because of a faulty plumbing fitting in the wall.

This spring we had some pretty bad weather. Tore up a bunch of roofs in our subdivision. Several neighbors had their roofs replaces from hail and wind damage. So I have mine looked at by a roofer who showed me a bunch of damage that was weather related. Filed a claim and adjuster came out. About a week later I get a call saying my claim is denied, that according to their records there was no bad weather in our area within a two week span of the dates I gave them. I told her i had video of the weather while it happened and the damage to the neighborhood the next day. Then she says well, the adjuster said it looked like your damages are man made and not weather related. I told her she had to be joking and then she hung up on me.

I am shopping around for new insurance at the moment.

oh yell hess. I'll go further. It should be a law that If at the end of the year you have no claims, the insurance co has to refund all your premiums for that year!

Man being retarded is kinda fun.
