aldi cereal is like $1.50 and has no fake dyes or corn syrup and tastes pretty damn good so i dont see why kelloggs or post can't fix their shite.

Depends on how you want to define quality, because there's a far less likelihood that they'll break down on you in a big way than vehicles from 30+ years ago (unless you buy a Nissan CVT), but there's also far more plastic and complicated tech built in which makes it so that there's many more smaller things that can become broken. Also, much safer today than ever before.

The slogan once was “Lays potato chips, bet you can eat just one” but it’s easy now since you only get one potato chip per bag.

What? So much better in almost every way.
They are more reliable, get better mileage, safer, better performance, … what’s left to debate? Appearance?

Washers and Dryers FTW
What everyone in the thread missed is that both these and dishwashers have had extra layers of Fed regs heaped on them over the years that went a long ways toward making them worse. The electronics are by and large attempts to band-aid the washing performance as much as they are there to help sell the product.

Microsoft Outlook and Teams . They tried to push the new version and it sucks. I forced a reversion to the “classic” form
