What are those odds?

Actually it's the exact opposite. The gaps continue to decrease as our knowledge increases.

Actually it doesn't

Explosion is not the correct term. It was more of the compression cycle was over, then expansion started. I personally lean toward the oscillating universe theory, but I think Einstein moved away from it later in his life. If true, it open a ton of mind hurting questions.

If you look far enough back a Catholic munk first proposed the Big Bang theory but was discredited by the scientific community because it was to similar to Genesis’ “let there be light”.

Maybe, but the universe is not only expanding but actually that expansion is accelerating. If oscillating we need to figure out how that acceleration stops so that gravity can pull it all back together again.

Yeah. Going theory is dark matter is the driver. Again, if this theory is true, the questions it opens is mind numbing. What is outside the "bubble?" What is the universe skin made of? If we can leave our bubble, can we escape time?

That doesn’t discredit the Big Bang though, everything points to that being true.

What you mean is, "we have this idea, it fits in the box, so until we know something else, its true.

The "big Bang Theory" is just that, a theory. Its one of the big ones that has no more proof or evidence than the existence of God.

Yeah, that's not true.

That's how science works. Someone develops a theory based on limited facts, and the longer it can't be disproven, the more credit it recieves in the community. Just because something is proven wrong, or we don't understand a topic doesn't mean the process doesn't work. The last thing we need to do is dismiss something because we don't understand it, and claim "god" is the source.

For Creationists they face a similar conundrum: so, a creator created everything when he spoke it to existence. But, where did all matter and mass come from? Nothing?

According to the Bible, God always existed. This is a much bigger concept to understand.

consider this premise for the sake of thought:

IF mankind has or has access to half of all the knowledge that exists, is it not possible that a creator exists in the other half of knowledge we do not have access to?

The problem is we always assume we have almost all of the knowledge- kind of prideful on our part

We must live with the understanding that there is so much more for us to learn and keep seeking the answers. Creating a magical sky wizard because the questions are hard...is not the answer.
