You’d think since we got a probe this close to the sun, we’d also finally be able to send a probe down to the surface of Venus and have it last longer than a couple of hours.
That was my very first thought as well.

The tip of my peener burned at 10000 degrees once after probing. Worth it

So much cooler than everything else that going on in the world right now!

So the probe is going 430ooo in one direction until it reaches the mid point of its crossing and then goes 430ooo in the opposite direction?

At least we can surmise it's not made if wax.

Is that 3.8 million miles from the surface? It's pretty damn hot in that part of the corona. Insanely hotter than the surface.
I love the sonification stuff. I believe we've been able to do that for a while now. shite is creepier than busted arse glass.

How would they know what sort of sound to use in this conversion?
That is not a question I can answer. I just know they converted data to sound. It's likely they do not know.

Since sound doesn’t travel in space, how did they do that? Not being a smartass genuinely curious
They didn't. They converted data to sound.
Is that really the sound of the sun, or just the sound captured from and by something moving at 430,000 mph through the sun, though?

Some of you are starting to get it.
The truth is, it's manufactured in our minds and imagination.

I'm calling BS. I happen to know that that is Kim Kardashian's first ultrasound.

That is legitimately impossible.

Sounds exactly like souls crying out from Hell
Daily Biblical reminder: Hell has been a lake of fire. Long before mankind actually knew the sun was a 'lake' of actual fire

Because it was recorded in a studio just like the moon landing

I'm certain they do not know.

That is terrifying, and cool.

They should do one of these at night when things are all quiet and eerie.

The late great Sheila Jackson Lee was correct. Just last year she said:
“The Sun is a mighty powerful heat. It is almost too hot to live there. The moon is mostly made up of gassed and is much more manageable”
