What do you think about adults who say they were watching something on TV but had to turn it off because of the language or content?
Like when someone says they tried to watch The Sopranos but there was too much cursing, or they stopped Breaking Bad because of the drugs.
We’re adults and understand how the world works. Are people really so fragile that their entertainment has to be that filtered?

For me personally, a few curse words here and there are fine, but some shows it’s basically every other word.
When 50% of your dialogue comes from half a dozen four letter words then the story probably sucks and I’m just not going to be interested.

I love watching the hallmark Christmas movies due to lack of violence, political views, drugs and of course the good always wins at the end.

No. I think they've made a personal decision on what kind of images they want to consume space in their brain. I went through a period like that in my 20's with violent contact, porn in my 40s and have done it this year with news/television/pop culture in general. It's not fragility-it's a decision on priorities based on the fuel you need to live the life you want to live.
That said, I'm due for a Sopranos rewatch. Just keep me away from the tv talking heads and ESPN chirpers and all that bullshite.

It's fragility to not like something? It depends on the basis of the objection.
If you start watching BB but the drug topic/use just bothers you and keeps you from enjoying the show - who can argue with that? Now if you get all Karen-like about drugs in a show about drugs, that's different.
I stopped watching Succession because it was pretty profane/miserable in the first season. Everyone else likes it, but the crassness/language was just too much for me to really enjoy. In fact, I found it mostly unrealistic and distracting. I don't think I'm being a baby, I just don't enjoy it.

I liked Breaking Bad because I’m one class away from a minor in chemistry and the little science in the show they had kept me interested.

I don’t like too much cursing. Not necessarily offended, it just seems unnecessary and detracts from the moments when cursing is really warranted.
