Yep. And if they really need gas I can go into the station, put $20 on my card, and only use $18. They can pull on after me and take the last $2.
I did give about 40 cents to a guy once when it was all I had - and he turned out to be legit. It was exactly what he needed to get a coffee.

Anybody else ever been hit up by the obvious older guy and woman in downtown Baton Rouge wanting money so they can "get their insilulin" prescriptions? They pull the same thing. ID out, same old story. I've been running into them for a few years now.

I haven't run into one of those in a while. The last one I did said their car was at the shell station across the street and that they needed $5 for gas to get to Shreveport. I told him I had a shell credit card, and for us to go over there and I would buy him a whole tank of gas. You should have seen him going on about why that just wouldn't work and why I needed to just give him $5.

I work in Avindale, stopped one day on my way home at the Brothers next to Wendys and an ole Blue Hair lady in a Crown Vic pulls up and ask me for gas money to get back to I10. I gave her $4. She thanked me, went across the street to the other Brothers and asked some dudes there for money. I went home, in Raceland, stopped at Rouses to get something for supper and when I'm walking out the same lady hit me up again.

Honestly man who cares what their motivation is? If you’re in a position financially to help your fellow man then do so. God Forbid I ever was in that shitty situation, I don’t know if I’d have the balls to ask strangers for money.

These people are pieces of shite that prey on the good intentions of people and are literally stealing money from them with their lies and scams. Scamming people is their “job” because they’re too fricking lazy to get a real job.

I was leaving a Walmart early one morning before work and saw a homeless guys in vestibule sleeping. I went back in and bought some water and food. When I offered it to him he refused it and somewhat raised his voice. There was a guy emptying change in one of those machines, we both kind of looked at each other. Still don’t understand the guys angle I guess he was too proud or more than likely wanted money b

I was on my MC on a long road trip and was passing through Denver. Homeless people everywhere. I stopped and ate a value menu lunch at a Burger King and was heading out. Homeless guy approaches me in the parking lot wanting money for something to eat.
I told him I would buy his lunch but I wasn’t giving him any money. First he no he didn’t want lunch just money. I told him to get lost. Then he said he wanted a triple cheese whopper meal with a shake and apple pie.
I told him he was gonna eat off the value menu just like I did. He got loud and said forget it. He wasn’t gonna eat that and walked away.
Most I encounter are scammers.
