Ok. BR has exceeded the original outbreak #s then. Though I assume positive outcomes are much higher than back in April 2020.

It is pretty simple. It is the number of people an infected person transmits the virus to. Over 1 means cases are increasing. Equal to 1 means cases are stable. Less than 1 means cases are decreasing.
Going from 1.58 to 1.5 means cases still increasing but at a slower rate. EBR parish is at 1.4 so their cases are increasing still but at a slower rate than the rest of the state.

pretty significantly too. that's roughly an additional 75/day increase in hospitals over the weekend. We were well north of 100/day just 7-10 days ago.

it is. i dont remember exactly but we were around 1760 or so Friday in the hospital
(1984-1760)/3= 75ish. Someone who remembers Fridays exact numbers can correct me on the exact number but the overall point remains.
