Because D.C. sold out america to foreign countries. What did he say he wanted to do? Two things that he did Bring back jobs and make America energy independent.

He said the response was a democratic hoax.

But you knew that. Not that you really care about being accurate.

Who are we defining as "the left" here? Sure, there were a lot of cries on social media over it, but none from elected Democrats

Should we welcome this moron to the fricking party, or does he only question the 1 out of "7 million" cases?

The idea that it wasn’t related was only claimed after the most recent debate.

I didn't say it wasn't related. The claim was Biden called the travel ban xenophobic, which isn't true. Here's the full quote from the speech.

quote:

“We have right now a crisis with the coronavirus, emanating from China,” Biden said on Jan. 31 at a campaign event in Iowa. “A national emergency worldwide alerts. The American people need to have a president who they can trust what he says about it, that he is going to act rationally about it. In moments like this, this is where the credibility of the president is most needed, as he explains what we should and should not do. This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia – hysterical xenophobia – and fearmongering to lead the way instead of science.”

I don't think it's unfair to infer he's referencing the travel restrictions to and from China, but he doesn't specifically mention it.

That literally is related to the coronavirus.

He even throws the word “science” in there.

How about Biden AND Pelosi.

Biden wasn't in an elected position when he made the comments in question.

You have a link to Pelosi calling the travel restrictions racist or xenophobic?

I’m not going to give you a link with 15 days to slow the spread. You might as well be asking for a link for confirmation if bears shite in the woods.

Pelosi went to Chinatown and urged people to come visit China town. Said everything was fine.

No, it's because it wasn't responsive. FWIW I agree he is a patriot. But he's also a xenophobe (or projects himself as such--it's hard to tell when he's being genuine). They aren't mutually exclusive. Probably highly correlated, actually. That's why I said the question is whether you think his xenophobia is good for us or not.

oh, but in April biden says this:

quote:

Block China’s personnel from being able to come to the United States before the president moved. So it’s about pace, it’s about the urgency and I don’t think there’s been enough of it.”

Months after the initial comment?

So, Biden realized that he was wrong, but his statements imply that he wouldn’t have done anything for months?

Doesn’t that imply that he would have done an even worse job than Trump?

Where's the citation?

quote:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was one of a number of top Democrats to rip into President Trump’s decision to expand the travel ban to include six more countries on Friday -- with Pelosi describing it as “discrimination disguised as policy.”

“The Trump administration’s expansion of its outrageous, un-American travel ban threatens our security, our values and the rule of law," she said in a statement. "The sweeping rule, barring more than 350 million individuals from predominantly African nations from traveling to the United States, is discrimination disguised as policy."

So she used the word "discrimination" instead of xenophobe. Fact is, EVERY top elected democrat and democratic presidential candidate was against his travel ban and you know it. NONE of them would have done it, yet he is being criticized for acting too slow. Hypocrisy at its finest.
