That rotation in the Montrose cell (formerly Taylorville) is still broad but blowing up, that's gotta be warned soon right

I am starting to wonder if the main story with this event will be the QLCS rather than discrete cells. Not that we won't see discrete cell activity that produces tornadoes, but so far all of the tornado action has been along the QLCS itself.

faster to type QLCS. Plus, I am going back and forth between here and weather message boards, so I have the weather jargon in my head.

Just keep hoping. That's all the prep and interpretation needed. Hope saves all.

ETA: Meanwhile, if the SPC and NWS offices did nothing and a tornado dropped on that baw's house he'd be the first one to bitch about having no warning. He isn't unique in the least.

you do realize that the main line (and more compact instability) is just getting to Lafayette, right? It is literally JUST getting to the western edge of the Moderate Risk zone.

Saw something interesting when that cell near Columbia was crossing the state line, but for some reason I can't upload images anywhere right now.

Basically storm had liquid water above the freezing line, suggesting the updraft was doing some work. I see a little hook and rotation on it, though not worth warning yet. Might be one to watch.

I’m not saying tornadoes don’t happen here but BR is never going to get leveled like cities in Mississippi and Alabama.

I swear to Christ if this turns into a Peej statement.....
