How often do the insurance companies fight the BS and win? And I don't consider the lawsuit being for $100k and ins settled for $25k a win for a parking lot fender bender.

Inarance companies are reporting record profits. Insurance commissioner and some politicians promised rates would go down once tort reform was passed. That was a lie. Donelon even said he would support withdrawing the reform if rates did not go down. That was also a lie.

The only thing worse than the trial lawyers running up damages on frivolous suits are the insurance companies and their paid for politicians and lobbyists running up premiums on hard working customers.

Last summer I was stopped at a red light. Another truck stopped behind me. Driver of truck number three “fell asleep” and hit truck number two at full speed, pushed it into mine.

Messed up my bumper, but not too bad. Small truck in the middle got destroyed, but driver seemed to be okay.

A chiropractor hustler called me the next day. When I called the driver’s insurance, the first thing the lady said was “are you lawyering up too?”

When I said no they said they’d pay for all the repairs. Less than 24 hours and I had a call from a chiro and middle driver had a billboard lawyer. It’s a well oiled machine.

There's a flip side to that.
Cheap insurance companies necessitate car wreck lawyers.
A few years ago I was stopped at a red light and some guy ran into me, full speed (40 mph) - didn't even hit the brakes because he wasn't looking.
His company (Allstate) were trying to get me to settle for like $500. I had to get a lawyer to try to get reimbursed for medical. Ultimately it cost them quite a bit more than $500. The thing is - I wouldn't have gone to lawyer if they would have just offered to make me whole.

Shenequa’s $15,000 settlement with GEICO is why our rates keep rising!

If largesse in the industry is a problem then it’s fair game on both sides. Ask your commercial agent what his commission is, his agency fee he additionally tacks on for servicing the account, the broker’s fee and the last trip AIG took him on.

The same car wreck lawyers are spilling over into the insurance construction claim industry. Have a homeowners insurance claim denied? Lawyer up, they will get it approved.

You still don't understand how costs and margins work... do you?

Insurance companies do not mind paying out more money in claims. They just adjust their own price of their product.
Case in point when health insurance mandated forced coverages (and eliminated the option for elective coverages) and eliminated preexisting conditions after ACA. What has your health insurance premiums and deductibles done since Obamacare?
At the same margins, they have record profits. Yet you will "blame" insurance companies for doing what almost every organization (even the government does) which is include a profit margin.

I’ve been hit twice. Both times I just said fix my car and we’re good. We’re doing it wrong and need to focus on those injuries and that pain.

Drop in the bucket compared to 60,000 dweebs using the reptile method to convince juries their slightly hurt Plaintiff is entitled to 10-30x medical bills.
