Come back and let us know what your child support payments are after she insists on going to a fertility clinic to find out why she isn't getting pregnant.

34 years old with two children. Wife has been trying to sell me the idea of having another. I'm done. She's said she's going to discontinue taking BC in the beginning of May for 'health reasons'. My initial visit was last Thursday. Schedule procedure for April 4th when my wife is planning on visiting her sister for four days. The plan is to then fake a illness when she returns, probably covid. Hopefully, this will give the stitches time to dissolve. If everything goes as planned, I'll be sterile by May and my wife won't be none the wiser. If I don't offer a follow-up, the plan was foiled and she blood has been shed.
This will get out, you should be an adult and just be honest.

Many OB/GYNs have long required a husband’s signature for a woman to have her tubes tied or for a hysterectomy. Some states legally require the consent of a husband/wife in sterilization if not medically necessary.

Please do this and report back.

Same here, he even spent time at the first appointment to discuss the weight of the decision with my wife present and mentioned that he wouldn't perform the surgery without her consent.
That's actually fricked up.

I've got an adult son with a recurring brain tumor and every time we see a new doctor they have to get his permission to discuss his medical issues with me

Sure. Otherwise it would be a HIPAA violation.
But in cases of voluntary sterilization, some states had laws that requires the signature of the husband/wife to perform the procedure. Some doctors still require it in practice. It’s not a violation of HIPAA.

This is a terrible idea. Be a man and tell your wife the truth.

Given your plan, I would also go ahead and schedule a consultation with a divorce attorney during your recovery days. Kill two birds with one stone, no pun intended.

You won't ever see the father required to consent for an abortion.

Sounds like a healthy marriage.

You’re a dishonest loser, and you deserve for your marriage to fall apart if you do this.

Good luck raising someone else's kid after you get snipped baw!

Because the doctor’s performing it are choosing not to require it.
Apparently state laws requiring signatures for sterilization are no longer around (ruled unconstitutional). But an individual doctor can decide they won’t perform the procedure without spousal consent.

Well, being that she was in the exam room with me for the consult appointment, I consented to her being part of the process and being privy to my medical info.
