I know them. She's Canadian and having hyphenated last names is customary. He's from around here I believe.

One of my close friends is working in Dubai and his fiancee is working with me here in Germany. They have a wedding in 2 weeks that was prepaid for in Denmark. The whole facade that Dubai is some sort of luxury safe zone has really hit home with them. The rest of the world should pay attention. Just because you have unlimited money to build fancy buildings means what?

I have no idea why anyone would want to make that trip with clearly very young kids.
Likes,clicks and shares.
Or maybe they are just dumb

People justify living or visiting "dangerous" places every day.
Usually an outsiders view is way worse than reality. How many times have you been asked how you can live in a place where hurricanes often hit?

I bet they’d rather be in Iran right now than on an airplane with little kids.
I know the pain lol

Ever chased camels on ATVs through sand dunes? Or watched your brother almost break his wrist falling off his ATV in Dubai? Or skied indoors? If so, Dubai is your place!

Some people are curious and want to learn more about the world

That doesn't seem like the smartest trip to take especially with a 20 hour flight attached to it.
If you have zero self awareness and don't mind pissing off everyone on your flight, it's not so bad.

Often times referred to as "attention whoring".

It's not a 20 hour flight. A 20 hour series of flights maybe, but that's what you get for living in a backwater like Baton Rouge.
And young kids can handle it just fine. Some people want their impressionable kids to see something more interesting than Donald Duck.

Dubai is super nice and westernized city. Definitely not a shite hole.
My dad worked in Dubai for a while around 2012-2013. He had something frick up with his colon and went to the hospital. He said the hospital and care was incredible.

I've been on multiple international trips where I've had to sit close to families with kids that are under 5. It is never a pleasant experience for the parents or the people sitting immediately around them.
