They’d be better off idling at twin peaks than hooters

Guys here took shifts sleeping in their trucks. The hotels theybhd for them didn't have power or water so they slept in there and had to buy clothes after a couple days cause they couldn't wash them.

We had water and offered to wash some clothes and turned us down.

Quite frankly they were awesome and worked their dicks in the dirt.

Replaced 40 poles on the street by the fire/police station near me in one fricking day.

Yesterday they all pulled out at the same time, about 3:30. They have to rest sometime, dick.

Maybe they worked 8pm-10am?

I was going to say. They might be working overnight to avoid this heat.

Poor dudes probably traveled from God knows where to help out the area and you have the nerve to complain about the job they're doing while posting on Tigerdroppings. Those dudes will probably work harder in the next few days then you will probably work the entire year combined. Have a little sympathy and appreciate what they're doing for you.

They got my power on at 10 pm last night. I think those boys are busting it.

Maybe they dont have any hotel rooms for them to sleep in and are sleeping in their trucks after their shifts are over.

Hey OP -

Those trucks at Hooters must’ve heard your complaints because that parking lot is now empty. They’re probably just going be lazy somewhere else though.

To be fair, this is one of the more severe beatdowns I've seen a poster take around here. Maybe not in terms of downvotes. (I remember the thread talking about the UGA coeds in their sundresses with not a single picture)

But yeah, this is a horrible position for OP to take in the current situation in SELA. What a fricking dumbass.

And they are away from their families who suddenly have to make contingencies for their absence. People who complain about the power crews need their dicks tazed.

Weak move for taking down the picture of the men who may be resting in their trucks. Bet you haven’t been outside in days and have no clue how hot it is outside. Or I bet you didn’t know how shitty the housing situation is for these guys that basically no hotels are available for them. So yeah, maybe they are sleeping in their trucks, but I also know that when they work it’s 100x harder than you do.

Coordinating 20k guys and associated supplies into a disaster area isn’t going to be the most efficient. Especially in the first 48-72 hours.

I don’t know what the specific reason for this would be, but I know it’s an enormous undertaking to get all of this up and running and so there’s probably issues with getting supplies, perhaps Covid related like everything in my world is, as well as struggles in facilitating and coordination of crews which are having to be worked out that are obviously no fault of crews themselves or in desire to get rolling.

All anyone can ask at this point is that people actually learn how to do this more efficiently because this sure as hell isn’t going to be the last time for anybody here to deal with this kind of stuff if they’re actually going to live anywhere around the coast.

The guys in our neighborhood told a neighbor there was no more they could do until the trees were cleared. They said there was one tree that took out two transmission sections on the grid and had the lines tangled in each other.
