Some people in this world are truelly fricked up in the head. Should be an automatic execution IMO

From the APSO facebook page
This is probably been blown up a bit via Facebook and Nextdoor, but as somebody who lives in Manchac Place I'll keep an extra eye on my kids when they head down the street to their friends house. I'm guessing the "target little boys" part of the original FB post is some rumor mill type stuff being spread, hopefully parents of girls don't let their guard down

In response to recent facebook posts in regards to an attempted child kidnapping in at least one subdivision in Ascension Parish that occurred over the weekend, please refer to the facts outlined below of this particular incident. Deputies responded to a residence on Van Broussard Road on Saturday evening at approximately 5:30 p.m. in reference to a suspicious passenger in a green SUV asking juveniles in the area to help him search for his missing dog. It was learned that the suspicious person asked juveniles that were in the area if they had seen his missing dog that was described as a golden type dog. This incident has evolved into reports of this happening in multiple locations around Ascension Parish that our office has NO reports of any type of kidnapping incidents occurring. Please be assured that all deputies have been alerted to be on the lookout for this type of vehicle that was described and extra patrols will continue in the area. Anyone else having suspicious encounters similar to this one, please notify us immediately by dialing 911 or by calling our non-emergency line, 225-621-8300, option 1.

golden type dog.
there's a sign at the intersection of 621/Airline with the pic of a gold and white dog. "lost dog ,$2000 reward.". Maybe that guy was trying to earn the reward?

Ascension parish sheriff just debunked this story. Said a call came in of a suspicious person in a green van but no evidence of attempted abduction

I thought the same but the line before saying he was looking for a dog that said he was asking kids to help him. I guess you can interpret that any way you want but anyone seriously looking for a dog likely doesn't need assistance from small children.
