Post office on Bennington ave in BR is the worst in the world

They have lost 3 packages of mine in the last 3 weeks. The last one was sent China post. The package made it from China to BR without getting lost and the fricking mongoloids at the PO couldn't get it delivered 3 streets over without losing\stealing it.
I suspect they are stealing and reselling. The last one was a dyson animal vacuum that showed delivered but never was actually delivered. I showed the post master video evidence of the outside of our building for the date and time the said was left by the front door on tracking. They didn't have any excuse but to say it went to the wrong address.

I completely agree. I went in there 15 mins before closing a few months back attempting to mail a package and was greeted with a "scuse' me sir we is closed now".

This is our local third-world post office. Already being investigated by the Feds. Maybe you should contact their higher ups.

They can’t seem to deliver our office mail during office hours and refuse to use the drop box. We MAYBE get the mail once a week.

A lot of rural post offices don’t deliver at all, you have to get a PO Box. We have one near our ranch in Realitos, TX that is only open 3 days a week from 8-noon.

Stop and think about how badly the local Amazon distribution center has been f*cking up deliveries. Right before the Holidays no less.
Then think about the fact that Amazon decided to invest billions in their own "last mile," service to avoid using the post-office...because they're that bad.
They'd rather deal with all that intense, localized backlash just to ensure they won't have to put up with the USPS.

I don't recall mail being that bad in Baton Rouge 5-10 years ago. Did they lower their standards in hiring workers? Mismanagement?

I think it's because of the quantity being shipped through the mail now.

Don’t know about the standards of hiring, but even UPS/fed ex/amazon are mostly shitty in Baton Rouge now.
It’s a workforce issue. I think the former good workers at these places retired, and there was no one to replace them.

Makes sense, Louisiana lost 10K residents last year and many of those educated and left for greener pastures. But I didn't think the brain drain would transcend all the way down to a simple post office workers.

It’s a ripple effect. To fill upper level jobs, less qualified people are promoted and the people below that level take their jobs.
