Plantation Trace...’85 and ‘86

I stayed there at the same time. It’s not called plantation trace anymore. I guess the word plantation is not politically correct.

It had Buffalo Phil’s there at one time with 25 cent wings

That must have been after my time. This was 1990 I lived there. I don't think Phil had even split off from Baumhower yet at that time. The cafeteria when I lived there was pretty terrible. Think I only ate there a handful of times that year. Papa John's had just gotten to town and we ate that at least once a week.

I was across the street from Paty in the ever beautiful Palmer Hall

That was where a lot of the foreign students lived when I was in school. Used to study with a Korean girl that lived there. Tried to date her but she said her dad would kill her if she dated a non-Korean. Used to play basketball on the courts there as well.

Wish I had an old picture of Power Dorm in the 80's. It was a freshman dorm with a/c by U High. It was torn down to build East Campus Apts. Fun times in that place. Lived there in summer.

That fall lived in Hatcher, great place to live during football season for an 18 year old. Still remember the old elevator that worked some of the time.

"A" Dorm at Trinity University (San Antonio), now called Herndon Hall. Room was the one at bottom left, 1st floor.

1982-83 school year; roomed with my best friend, later best man and godfather to my 1st born.

Didn't like the school (mostly spoiled rich kids) or San Antone; transferred after freshman year to LSU and was glad I did. Best friend also went to LSU like me a year and a half later after he lost his scholarship.

I get all kinds of jealous imagining the fun to be had in a dorm or apt complex at college that has a pool.
