You played a sport at LSU? Nice. What sport?

I'm going with tennis or some track event.

Yeah, sorry. Burke Hall was at Bama. It was the smaller of the two freshmen dorms at the time. Paty Hall was the other, larger one.

This was my freshman dorm. Place was/is a dump. Not quite sure how it made it to 2019 and beyond with all of the other old dorms that have been torn down, and all of the shiny new ones that they've put up. It just received a 14.7 million dollar renovation for Christ's sake. Its like the cockroach of college dormitories.

The all night diner that was(is?) on the bottom floor was fricking wild though. Drunk, high, and blackout freshmen would terrorize that place and its workers late night after parties.

On another note, your photo without caption made me think you went to school in China.

I thought people were joking around about that. People actually lived in the stadium?

As far as I know, Kirby is still standing. It’s slated for demolition in the spring.

West Laville, 2nd floor, corner room near the stairwell. Prop open the back door making it much easier to sneak girls and beer in. The room was relatively large being a corner room so we bunked the beds, brought in a futon and surprisingly didn’t get booted lol

Suttle Hall, Miss'ippi State. Pic is from the building awaiting demolition some 10 years ago, but it didn't look much better when I was there in the 70's.

I spent a year in Suttle in the 90s. It was what I imagined life in the projects was like.

That area is actually really nice now, between the apartments, the rec and the expansion of athletics.

Yes.

With no proper air conditioning, if I recall correctly.

At least at WLSU/WPRG/KLSU (103 East Stadium) we had a wheezing honker of an A/C system. When it was off, it was bad. Very bad.

Russell Hall @ UGA. At the time it was the only coed dorm on campus same floor. Definitely one of the most sought after dorms there

What's with all the downvotes on my OP? Yeah it wasn't fancy but it was home. And this has been a pretty cool thread.

Screw you guys.
