30+ years ago, I filed a citizen suit against two telemarketing firms that called me multiple times after I asked to be put on their do not call list. I ended up getting a $500 settlement from each one. Not chump change for a kid right out of grad school.
But it was a chore. I had a notebook and a script that I would run through every time I got a telemarketing call. It was really hard to get it all documented because you'd get part way thought the script and they would hang up.
But the $1K made it worth it tho...

Is this call based upon a previously established business relationship?
If so, identify the business relationship, including the date and nature of the transaction.
I have not given prior express written consent to receive telemarketing calls from your company.
Under the 1991 Telephone Consumer Protection Act, please place this number on your internal Do Not Call list immediately.
“Can you provide your full company name,
mailing address,
a call-back number,
and a registered agent?
Any future calls to this number will be documented as violations of the TCPA with statutory damages of $500 per call, or $1,500 if willful.
Can I confirm this number has been added to your Do Not Call list?
