When a woman screams "RAPE!" we have no power.

And I've known 2 cases where false accusations were made. One in HS and one in college.

First of all, how much do you think we think it happens? How do you know what we think? Honestly, society is only now coming to grips with the fact that some women lie about this.

you're better than this, wink.

Have to love this line of "reasoning." Don't worry about any miscarriage of justice because men are historically advantaged.

well, salmon just said he's suspicious EVERY time he hears a rape accusation.

Using that line of reasoning, I should be suspicious of every guy I know for being a possible rapist.

Well, some women do feel that way, and from your statements in this thread, it appears you're well on your way.

I'm suspicious because the only 2 times I have known anyone that yelled RAPE, they both turned out to be false accusations...

Don't get mad at me. Get mad at the women that make false accusations.

As he should be since he's a man.

What defense do we have if any one of us is falsely accused?

More interesting comments on the advocate article

quote:

Anais Oddlokken I had class with Jake a couple semesters back. He was okay I guess, but always came off very oddly. Like hyper aggressive about things. I then saw him at Halloween party where he tried to get my overly drunk friend to sleep with him. He was INCREDIBLY aggressive when we tried to bring her back home. He messaged me the morning this happened. I never responded. I feel sick to my stomach knowing he messaged me around the same time he raped a girl. 9 hours ago

You don't. By default you are arrested, charged and booked. You have to post bail, You hire a lawyer, plead your case, spend thousands of dollars trying to clear your name and hope the jury had a open mind and actually pays attention to the case.

So she played 50 Shades of Rape and lost?

That frat star should have just waited a few more minutes because it certainly sounds like the victim was voluntarily DTF to start. He should probably cut back on his Deca shots. Idiot.

Don't know if this has been said yet, why rape when you're going to get it anyway?

Of course if you're a college student, even if no legal charges are formally brought against you, you have to face the university's procedures, where you're not allowed to have a lawyer, often not allowed to question your accuser, and the standard used to decide your case is the lower threshold "preponderance of the evidence." Of course to some, like Wink, you're a man, so stuff like that shouldn't matter. Down with the patriarchy!

I actually know this guy. He was a pretty big weirdo and had a major anger problem. Used steroids when I knew him and his dad was some big shot doctor. He was a mega d bag that thought he was better than everyone because daddy had money. From what I saw he never had much luck with the ladies, but it wasn't a lack of trying.

So glad I am not in the dating scene anymore, and that when I was (back in "the day") you did not have this sort of shite.

I don't know what happened here, but I am seriously considering telling my son to take video of the girl giving her verbal consent before he even takes his dick out of his pants.
