With the info you supplied, No. All you listed was AA was more expensive. Does this come with a huge raise or family there or what?

What is pushing you to make this decision? Job offer?

I lived in Dalls and have never been to Ann Arbor. frick that move. It’s cold, more expensive and the food likely isn’t as good as Dallas

Job offer and a 22% raise. Haven't spent a lot of time up there just a football game once a year. Not sure about the nightlife, outdoor activities and such.

I would lean towards getting the coronavirus before moving the MI or anywhere north of Florida

Ann Arbor is an awesome town, but the winters will suck.

The Detroit area is f'n miserable. A good buddy of mine lived there for a couple of years of grad school and couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Can't put a price on warmth. Stay in Texas.

Ann Arbor is not as bad as you think, but I wouldn't go there over Dallas

I would need at least a 50% raise

22% isn’t worth it

Even Ted Nugent fled Michigan- for more reasons than just house mold.

Has anyone ever talked about eating great food up north? There is a reason for that...

I’m leaving the DFW area soon myself, it’s not my favorite area in the world. That said, as someone who also lived in the midwest for a few years, I would not move to that region ever again.

I don’t see what the Midwest offers over DFW, besides marginally lower COL and better nature in the Upper Peninsula.. But that’s pretty far from AA.
