It’s all for political ammo. Otherwise he would have done this and EO’d rescheduling on Day 1 in office. They don’t care about your rights. They care about maximizing their profits and power
I don’t believe he can EO scheduling.
He also was never really on board with full legalization during his campaign either.

A lot of states won't decriminalize it is what he's saying.
Money is a huge factor in that as well, not just politics. Lots of people and police agencies have gotten fat off the drug war.

LEO doesn’t want to lose that search and seizure revenue.

Or money from private, for-profit prisons.

This is likely the only thing I’ll ever give him credit for
You do realize that he's responsible for incarcerating more black, brown, and white people in the past 50 years for simple weed possession than any other American politician, right?

‘Lock the S.O.B.s Up’: Joe Biden and the Era of Mass Incarceration
He now plays down his role overhauling crime laws with segregationist senators in the ’80s and ’90s. That portrayal today is at odds with his actions and rhetoric back then.
— In September 1994, as President Bill Clinton signed the new Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act in an elaborately choreographed ceremony on the south lawn of the White House, Joseph R. Biden Jr. sat directly behind the president’s lectern, flashing his trademark grin.
The truth is,” Mr. Biden had boasted a year earlier in a speech on the Senate floor, “every major crime bill since 1976 that’s come out of this Congress, every minor crime bill, has had the name of the Democratic senator from the State of Delaware: Joe Biden.”

National polls indicate that as well. It's like we're keeping it illegal simply for the tradition of it.
What I care about is the smell is offensive and it travels far from the source. There would have to be strict laws on where it can be smoked. Walking down the street downtown, or less than 100 feet from a building will affect the general public. Weed smoke smell is 10X worse than cigarette smoke smell, and that got banned from all bars, restaurants, and buildings.

You ever smelled a bar in the morning? It smells a shitload worse than weed.

Good. Give Brandon's handlers credit where it's due.

A little weed smoke isn’t going to hurt you. Maybe you would get a contact high and lighten up a little.

We should exterminate all skunks and ban trash trucks as well.

Not to mention, smoking wasn't banned because of the smell. It was banned because we know it's bad for you. They're not going to let people smoke weed indoors either.

I don’t believe he can EO scheduling.
By the way, the Democrat party has the power to do this today. Right now. If they were serious about decriminalization, that's the fight we'd be having, and I think the GOP would crumble, as usual. And while good, this is just a political stunt by Biden.

Did not realize the feds arrested people for simple weed possession.
How does this happen?

It is very offensive to those who don't smoke.
If it is legalized without specific stipulations, there will be no consideration for others.
THe responses to my post proves that.
Be respectful of others if it is legalized, that is all I am asking for.

If that's all you are asking for then fine. But your tone suggested you didn't want to legalized for that reason in and of itself.
Which is absurd.
