Social media has influenced portrait over the years when it comes to media and it's really starting to show.

Of course landscape is superior, but it isn't as conducive for phone viewing.

Soon people will be getting bashed for filming in landscape.

Millennial will be the proverbial old man yelling at clouds as he films with his phone appropriately set in landscape.

Shite, our TVs will probably start being designed as Portrait layouts.

The algorithm will have successfully molded the masses.

Maybe you should see a therapist.

I was at a concert recently and took a brief landscape video to document the moment. When I looked around me, there were dozens of other phones in the air--all held vertically. I felt old and out of touch.

But you didn't feel wrong. Keep doing the right thing and filming in landscape.

This was the inspiration I needed.

In the early 2000s when I worked at a movie theater- there were two ways movies were presented - scope or flat

Depending on the movie we had to switch lenses. Scope is more wide screen - and the majority of movies were in that.

Why I still remember this boggles my mind.
