I had one before all the hype. It was solid, but I’d rather get a 3 piece spicy.

Did Y'all ever figure out why this is fake?

They started it with Y'all. It is a Canadian company and Canadians never use the word Y'all.

Looks like Popeyes is trying the same strategy as McDonalds McRib.

Agreed. It's pretty dang good but the spicy chicken is better and for a buck more than the sandwich, you get 2 pieces of chicken, a side and a biscuit.
I went today and someone tipped the poor cashier $10 after having to put up with 2 impatient black women and an ambulance driver that cut the line and wanted her free food ASAFP while tapping her fingers on the counter and staring incredulously at the workers.
I think Popeye's is taking a 2 week break to hire/train some more workers and work out any kings with their suppliers.

You should come to the Popeyes in Picayune MS it’s by far the most efficient Popeyes I have ever seen.

My thoughts exactly. At my local popeyes, I waited an hour for the sandwhich. There was a line wrapped around the building twice, as well as a line of cars holding up traffic on the main road. Not to mention there was a line of people outside the door trying to go in to place their order. Previously, this store stayed relatively empty anytime I ever rode by. The hype for this thing was unprecedented. I have never seen anything like it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Popeyes experienced record sales as well as record #s of employees quitting simultaneously.

Your distributor does. I'm assuming they get shite from Sysco and Tyson.

Don’t think it was that they ran out of chicken. Chicken is pretty easy to beef up on. I’m pretty sure they ran out of the breading, spice mixes etc. little fact about Al. When he went bankrupt. He patented and kept all of the recipies to himself in another business that manufactures and sells to Popeyes. The manufacturing/ DC is in Kenner I believe still. I think that’s what ran out as they simply could not keep up with demand. Could be wrong but that’s my guess

Popeyes would be the best chain on the planet if they had a culture that resembled that of Chik fil A or Five Guys.

That’s Diversified Food and Seasonings. Al moved most of the spice manufacturing to Alabama and Nebraska so hurricanes would not interrupt their ability to supply Popeyes restaurants with seasonings. They also made different parts of the blend in different locations so the employees could not figure out the recipe.
