Just got back from Popeyes and literally had to go back inside twice due to two different errors on my order
Why wouldn’t you check your order inside after the first mistake? Why’d you walk all the way back to your car THEN check to make sure after they already fricked your shite up?

not to mention you're likely only going to get one use from that oil since you're probably only going to make fried chicken once every couple of months
You can keep oil for at least a year. Probably 2-5.
I was surprised I didn't have to pull up and wait for the Popeyes chicken sandwich.

Well surely you know how an ingredients list works? From start to finish it's the most to least of what's in the product.
As you can see MSG shows up twice far before bread. Have you ever seen MSG powder dissolve in food? You can use a huge scoop and it just absorbs right in and disappears. That's basically what these sandwiches are. A piece of chicken bathed in excitotoxins.
Nothing personal to anyone that makes the choice to eat this trash, but IMO you have to be a really lazy person to put that shite in your body

You ever accidently fried something in rancid oil?
No thanks. I'm tossing used oil after a couple months.

you dont get to say 'oh you can't count already having a skillet, oil, flour, seasonings and the time to prep and clean it up'
I do absolutely get to ignore all of the costs that I would have regardless of whether or not I cook this sandwich. It would never make sense to cook at home otherwise.

i can buy 5 quarts of oil for less than $20 but the hell if i'm going to jack my car up, find all the necessary tools, crawl underneath and then get squirted in the face with dirty oil when the plug comes out so i can say "a better oil change can be done at home for $20
Piss poor analogy. You eat 3 times a day everyday. You have all the necessary tools and many of the ingredients at your home already, all of the time, whether or not you make a particular sandwich. The cost to make a chicken sandwich is the marginal cost only. GTFO of here with putting a dollar value on your time, Bill Gates.

Man the price point might be the best part about the sandwich and that’s saying something because the quality is damn strong
Posted on 8/22/19 at 5:28 pm to Sun God
I don’t care about the price lol I was saying it could be made more cheaply at home which should be the least controversial comment in the thread.

So you don’t care how much it costs but you keep spouting off about how you could technically make it cheaper at home.
Got it
Got it

You can’t buy a whole chicken breast, a brioche bun, pickles and lettuce for less than $4.
You certainly can’t buy all the spices, oil and flower to boot for less than $4

Holy shite! Just went to Popeyes and the car line was around the building and in to the street. The parking lot around the building was full and the parking lot next to it had about 10 cars (all for Popeyes).
I've never seen anything like it for a fast food place.
I wanted to try the chicken sandwich because of this 18 page thread but I had to say frick it. Wasn't going to wait 30-40 minutes.

It’s insane I drive passed four Popeyes today and one of them had a cop directing traffic because the cars were lined up a block to get into the drive thru. It is worth a 30 min wait imo

I thought the Eunice line was too long at 5 cars, I almost left but I wanted to try it so I stayed in line, only waited 7-8 minutes, everyone was getting it.
It was well worth it, will be adding this to regular lunch menu, you don't need sides, the thing is way bigger than I expected

I drove by a Popeyes in a less than ideal part of town. Parking lot was full and the drive thru line was wrapped around the store.
I've never seen more than a few cars in the whole lot and drive thru combined.
This is insane

I like Popeyes a lot but am not near one most days.
I’m out of town for work and was feeling like throwing down the lolfats and so I went to try it.
First is a note on the door saying lobby closed due to short staff. Then I do the drive through and there’s a sign saying out of sandwiches, and red beans and rice, and cash only
Never change Popeyes.

Like I said, your food has to be out of this fricking world to survive their level of service. Lucky for Popeye's, it is.

For yourself? Hell no.
For a party of 30? Sure.

I don't see how that's hard to understand. I found a recipe for Popeyes gravy online that I wanted to try. It would have cost me $35 in ingredients and hours to make. I went to Popeyes instead
