Repeating someone's 100% factual Facebook post isn't gospel.

You can't quit a job and draw unemployment.

Not really poors..But from what I understand that college kids, who have never had a job, are able to sign up on the unemployment site and get $600.00 a week. Not a rumor or fake news...I have no idea how they are letting this go on....

Nope. Most wage earners pay no income tax at all.

You can squeeze blood from a rock dude.

They pay no tax because their incomes are not high enough.

If you are unwilling to concede that businesses and business owners have much more favorable tax treatment than wage earners you are being willfully ignorant.

You can’t quit a job and get unemployment
Even during Covid

The fact that he doesn’t know you can’t collect unemployment for quitting your job is just *chefs kiss*

You can. The employer has to flag it and the workforce commission actually has to then not pay them.

Plus, they gave reasons for why. less hours, you are sick with covid, your kids are home because of covid, you have to care for a family member with covid.

People are definitely slipping through the cracks. They were before this. They are now.

because your argument is similarly chock full of ridiculous assumptions

yes, corporations profit off of the working class, no one is arguing that. but to assume that while they are being taxed millions, they aren’t also giving back millions to the community, providing jobs to thousands, and aiding the local economy in ways mom and pop business can’t. but you know this and want to paint them all with the same brush stroke for your “big business is evil” argument.

Doesn't change the fact they pay little to nothing.

I can't "concede" to something that isn't true.

Nah. Just a business owner that cuts checks for taxes.

Like I said, at least in Texas, they are verifying employment. I know because someone claimed it in my name.

So you can't just quit. You have to have valid reasons that qualify you for it.

So I’m actually not sure if this is 100% accurate for COVID? Maybe I am wrong, but if you are technically considered at risk and with a doctors recommendation, can’t you abstain from working to collect at least the federal $600 a week? I may be completely wrong here.

bullshite. Those workers arent paying my real estate taxes, the unemployment tax, any tax on product or services for the company and we are still matching their payroll tax.

That’s not unemployment though
That’s the 600 bucks that every state is doing i assumed
If you’re making less than 2400 a month that’s just really bad to begin with

Maybe, but that would not be "quitting their jobs and getting unemployment."

Ive said this from day one. Millions of false claims will come in and some will get through. We have people that quit from 2018 coming in. People will slip through. I promise you that.

I believe you can do that.
But that wouldn’t be quitting your job and getting unemployment
But also if you’re working in an industry that wasn’t affected to begin with I’d assume you’d be making more the 2400 a week anyway.

I also think most restaurants or bars that were hit hard would rather lay off their employees than not

They always do.
But if you worked for a good employer they wouldn’t let that happen
