The house is owned by Cynthia Beck who was Gordon Getty's mistress. It's down the street from the playboy mansion and this guy apparently owns property in the area too. I don't think he was just doing this to pay the bills.

Stupid comment from a typical government jackboot.
Wait, what part of that comment is incorrect?

It is an arsenal weapons.

I think we can confidently say other houses in that neighborhood don't have similar size arsenals of weapons, so...

He's a citizen from what I can determine. Based on some business filings in the UK he might originally be from Spain but it's not clear.

Huh? He was arrested on suspicion of illegally selling them so he wasn't keeping anything off the streets

The vehicles in the background make it look like he was running a buy here, pay here used car lot as well.

Not the type of rides one would expect in that neighborhood.

That black one in the picture (middle) is a Volquartsen Fusion Take-Down, about $2100 retail.

Nothing wrong with what this guy was doing.

Better not come and try seize my porn collection, I'd look like a weirdo too if they just piled up all of my skin flicks on white sheets.

Sure and that's fine. This is the bad part:

but the person was selling the guns illegally, according to police.

Soooooooo...what's your point? He liked guns. If he had that many toasters or laptop computers - or anything else legal to possess - would the government come and confiscate them? Person to person sales are legal, so I'd like to know what "illegally selling" means.

If he was selling guns he wasn't supposed to (full auto), then the government should have taken those. And only those. I love how people on here are flippant about others rights.

His point is that the cop is correct in saying its an arsenal that isn't found elsewhere in the neighborhood.

Everything else you put in his mouth.

It was very clear, what part did you not understand?

quote:

If he had that many toasters or laptop computers - or anything else legal to possess - would the government come and confiscate them?
Would the government have a warrant to search said house for possible manufacturing and selling illegal toasters? If so, then the obvious answer is yes.

quote:

If he was selling guns he wasn't supposed to (full auto), then the government should have taken those.
Well, they had a warrant literally for that, so...

quote:

I love how people on here are flippant about others rights.
How'd you end up here solely for me saying that it actually was something not common to find in that type of neighborhood, a factual statement mind you?
