The big guy with shotgun was out in front of both Rex and Michael entering some areas. Don’t know his name yet, but Hopefully we will as he deserves some recognition.
I liked the teamwork with switchoffs. Rex (along with shotgun guy) and Michael appeared to be in separate groups entering school. In the lobby with semi-circle desk (red trim near ceilings) Rex went right to check office closer to entrance and then Michael enters and puts his hand on shotgun’s shoulder to continue forward (then hearing shots upstairs). Rex then catches up to Michael and shotgun guy passing a couple of guys, and Rex then gets directed forward by Michael to take initial shot(s) with rifle putting shooter on ground and other two sweeping back in front afterwards.

Why were the "couple of guys" they passed up not bum rushing the shots?
I thought school shooter 101 was rush the shooter

This video pisses me off more thinking about Uvalde knowing that they were there like an hour and up to like 150 cops, and these dudes were there for like 3 minutes and with maybe 10 cops and it wasn’t over. Great job on their part.
Also people said there was a dead body on the camera (besides the shooter). Where/when was that?

Metro Police involved in this operation should each get 1mill right out the gate. They didn’t F around!

On the floor before they enter the last room. Might be easier to notice from Officer Colazzo's cam.

So I’m no gun expert but the first guy had his finger off the trigger while they were clearing rooms. Is that correct? Just curious. Those guys were awesome.

Tipping culture is out of control.

but only two missing children were mentioned.
I think this is misunderstood.
The children were locked in classrooms by a wonderful staff. The two mentioned were probably identified as not being with them. It was not intended to imply that only two children were in danger.

The bigger guy with the shotgun also deserves a lot of credit. He was right up there in the front line and was brave as hell too. Masterclass from Nashville PD and although it’s a tragedy those officers represent what America is about. Frick around and find out
When Rex said "I need 3!" Ol' Shotgun didn't hesitate. I don't know why but Isiah 6:8 came to mind. "Here am I; send me". I made a similar comment back during the Uvalde embarrassment but all first responders know when kids are involved your mind goes somewhere else. It's all or nothing at that point. Great job at handling the situation.

I'm not trained in active shootings but I would think for rear security. They didn't know if it was only one shooter for sure. Same reason the guy in the first body cam footage stays at the door while the other two clear it. Every one has a job to do but that job isn't always being in the front moving forward.

What’s crazy and correct me here. But the window the guy was shooting at cops from was right above the door where Rex got the keys and entered a minute earlier?

No. She entered at a different side of the church.

It takes one leader and men can be motivated and organized. This is what the world needs: good men that are leaders.
Uvalde is getting hate, as they should. But I imagine if Rex Englebert was the commanding officer that day, the Uvalde response would’ve looked similar to Nashville . Not every man has the instinct to keep pushing, but most (real men) will respond to that type of leadership and do their duty.
Side question for those with experience in that realm….do those guys eat dinner that night and actually go to bed and… sleep??? I don’t think I could eat or sleep after that type of adrenaline.

Wow. Just incredible job by Nashville PD. Gotta say it was satisfying seeing that piece of shite lying there riddled with bullet holes at the end. Pure evil.

Yes, and he had the safety on with his thumb on the safety. Probably had pretty high level of confidence the shooter was not there but needed to clear anyway. Also in a building of kids and teachers. Very very good rifle handling by that officer. It's difficult to keep your booger hook off the bang switch.
