Of course he did.

Too many cops are nothing but ignorant thugs.

I will never like nor trust police.

Yep, the fact that he had to keep his on a leash points to his dog being the aggressor.

So he brings his dog to the dog park, keeps it on a leash and tells others he's not sure how the dog reacts to other dogs, his dog then gets in a fight with another dog, so he decides to shoot the other dog?

Frick that guy. Sounds like his dog was nervous, should have never brought it there. And when the fight started he should have jumped between them and pulled his dog off. I'd take the risk of getting bit by a dog before ever considering shooting one in a situation like that.

The dog lived. So he's a bad shot too!

Exactly. There's a huge difference in behavior when on a leash and other dogs are off leash.

Also:
quote:

If you intervene, do not put your hands anywhere near the dogs' heads or get between them to avoid getting bitten yourself. If another person is available, King recommends each person picks a dog and grabs its tail or hind legs, pulling back and up until the dog loosens its grip. The grabber should then move away quickly. There is some risk, since dogs will sometimes turn and bite whoever is hanging on to them.

I wish the story would have ended with the cop getting shot and killed by a CCL holder

Because of a couple of bad eggs? Get out of here with that shite.

With that said, that man who had his dog on a leash at a leashless park is a fricking moron. (Notice how i didnt say cop. I said "man," and then I called him a moron.)

The one good thing about this is that the cop probably will have no department protection from civil liability when the other dogs owner sues him.

Pretty sad that the strongest argument for gun control can be made by citing all the moronic trigger pulling done by LE.

There's no other way to put this: we have an epidemic within LE of people that are either cowards or sadists.

You also have a large conglomerate of "officers" that are affiliated with some ridiculous department. Like a constable or reserve deputy. They have half of or no training and even less actual patrol time. Makes them do stupid things when the opportunity arises.
