It's fun to kill a couple hours at and walk around. If the weather is nice, it's always fun to grab some good food, beers, and walk up on the levee to listen to the music

Wait, you are confused why anyone would go to a poboy festival to eat the food?

Hmmmmm. Lets see, I wonder what had just happened in NO a decade ago.
Indeed, the crowds would have been much smaller that year.

Yes. I don't understand why anybody would go to a festival to eat food. By definition the product will not be as good as it is in a restaurant.

I don't get the obsession with festival food at all.

There is no way the product you are served at the fest is anywhere near the quality that you would get at a restaurant. If you really want a particular food why not just go to the restaurant???

I don't get the obsession with people loving festival food.

It's worth going to. Just get there when it starts before the crowds show up

No it's bette. Everything is made to order and the majority of the vendors do special poboys that they normally do not serve.

LINK

I can tell you first hand that the food is awesome but look at that menu above, you would have to be crazy to not find most of that appetizing.

I'm not saying it's awful. I'm just saying that there is no why you will get the quality of food at this fest - or any fest- than you would get at a restaurant.

When other restaurants start putting the triangle golf tee game on the table, I'll switch up my routine.

I went to the poboy fest 2 years ago late, and it wasn't bad at all. I've heard it's crowded from two different people though

True but you can try 5 or more different places in one setting

To the OP, I would definitely bring someone from out of town the fest. Just get there early, eat a few things then grab some drinks at the Maple Leaf.
