I would like to see weight-based pricing requirements at the all you can eat casino buffet. That fatty just took the last biscuit and gravy. He didn't need all 4

Man, this kicking stuff is insane. 3 SEC school visits down, two more to go. These next two are the biggest competition days of his young life…time to shine.

The Fats should have an airline dedicated to them only.

Just make bigger planes with all first class size seats and let the market weed out the rest.

They should do just like they do with the carry on bags when they have to fit in that confined space to be considered a carry on, and have a seat and make you sit in it.
This is a fantastic and practical idea that provides an objective way to measure this. It will never be implemented because it would shame the fatties.

A person may not be “entitled” to air travel, but companies that provide public accommodation are subject to laws like the ADA. I don’t believe right now that simply being overweight or even “obese” are considered to be disabilities, but IF the Airlines really start pushing this hard that will likely be a battleground.

Fwiw, maybe I’m crazy but it seems to me that airlines sell a ticket to a person.

The majority of the article in the OP relates to Canada and the Canadian Airlines. Obesity is considered a disability in Canada.

I have no issue with plus-size people and air travel, as long as the individual purchases accommodations for their super-sized body. As a regular air traveler of standard size, I refuse to sit next to a person who spills over into my seat OR has to have the armrest raised to accommodate their spillage next to me.

I don't see why military cargo planes wouldn't suffice.

half of the global population will be overweight or obese by 2035.

Will never happen. Once we are all eating insects obesity will be rare as a hen's tooth.

I'm a tall guy and can't fit in a regular seat so I pay extra for more legroom and a bigger seat. Why can't fat people do the same? I can't help being tall, but most fats can help being fat. Suck it up butterballs.

And unless you're like 6'10, you shouldn't have to. Death to fatties, but airlines will shrink seats until only Guatemalans fit. Don't feed the greed (pun intended).

I'd be curious if this is still the trajectory with the hot Ozempic/Wegovy/Mounjaro development. Feels like everyone is on it, and I imagine is only catching more steam by the day.

This is something that people are going to really hard time grasping but this drug will become ingrained in our society and it will be a positive thing. It’s going to retrain eating habits and save so many lives, healthcare costs, and (pun intended) reshape future society.

I believe the ticket price should be based on a combined weight of the person and their luggage.
