The only reason I can think that this decision was made is all about $$$$ and traffic.
The Poli Board was lacking traffic and advertising income was slacking.
I mean, TD has to pay NIL athletes now, that money doesn’t grow on trees
Maybe he should think about liquidating a few boards that don’t generate revenue

Does this mean we can’t make fun of Gravy, broome and Latoya the Destroya on here anymore?
The OT was always the best about calling out corrupt local officials. Is that verboten as well?

Well, you have a point. One of the most political topics possible is that of war.
The way the discussion of the Russo-Ukrainian War has evolved between the OT thread and the Political Board is a prime example. Those who support Ukraine tend to be more toward the Political Left and have gravitated to the OT thread. Those who oppose supporting Ukraine gravitate to the Political Board. The result is you have two polar opposite echo chambers.
If we are truly going to purge political matters from the OT, the Russo-Ukrainian War thread should move to the Political Board. I know this won’t be popular with those who are emotionally invested in the war and discussing it free from opposing viewpoints. But it’s the correct move. And it may even perhaps help some to have a differing perspective presented for their consideration.

Scrap the book Board. Maybe combine the music and movies board, possibly the Book board,
Make them The Arts District or something.
The reason boards don’t get much traffic is that not enough eyes are constantly on them to drive discussion.
Maybe you could have tabs where you go to the Art Board and can select music, Movies/tV, etc.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. People bitch about politics being injected into everything. But that’s reality. Everything is political. I guess we’ll have more “how do you wipe your arse” threads from now on or babe threads if we’re lucky.
