The cop is kind of a smartass dickhead but rightfully so

That Officer Sloup guy "Friday's With Frank" is hillarious.
He's a legit national celeb county LEO.

at 19, this shite would have been my problem. I was paying for my own car, insurance, etc.
Me too. Which is why I never did 55 in a 35 construction zone.

Kid is lucky the camera was rolling. The cop would have probably beat his arse and he would have deserved it had there been no camera.

Not for my four kids. All were full time professionals by 23.

That’s a felony in and of itself (threatening a LEO or his family) and Frank should have arrested and charged him for it.

Just watch the first 60 seconds
I can't do it...it will get me pissed off.
Recently at work, I overheard a conversation - a guy that works for us in his 20's had just gotten a ticket for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign.
He was practically bragging to a co-worker, on how he was being a dick to the cop.
I'm not sure how shite escalated, but there was a 2nd violation I'm guessing for an outstanding flag that needed to get cleared. The officer took his license.
I told the kid, let me help you to keep that from happening next time. Be as polite as you can. If you disagree, thats fine, but that is what the court date is for. Never argue with a cop on the side of the road. If try to get the ticket fixed, it's common for that person to speak with the cop. You want him to have a good opinion of you.
For over 30+ years, I've been driving. On average for those 30 years, probably twice a year, I get pulled over for speeding. Not hauling arse, but threshold is 13mph over the limit and thats when you get pulled over.
Rarely, do I get a ticket.
The times that I did get a ticket, I've always gotten the cop to write it up for a lower speed. This helps when you try to get it fixed or definitely helps you to pay less money.
Never try to show your arse to cop. For me, it's "yes sir, no sir - always".
How does that pay off? I have a perfect driving record and no tickets on my record.
I'm a type A personality, and anal about keeping my vehicle organized and spic-and-span clean. I keep my drivers license and my insurance card in a clear sleeve in my console. License shows on one side, flip it over and insurance card is on the other side. Just about always, when I hand it to a cop, I mention that I have a perfect driving record and please help me in any way that you can. When they flip the licence sleeve over and see the insurance card, they'll make a positive comment about it, as in "I like that".
The kid says, "frick that. I make more money than that fricking cop and I even told him that"
I just shook my head and said, the goal is hopefully you get a warning as opposed to paying a $300 ticket. I asked him to just try it just one time and see if it helps.
His response, "I'm not like that. I'm going to tell him how I feel".
