Please Donate, Please Round Your Bill Up, Please Please Please give give give!

I ran a lot of errands yesterday and the please donate begging is getting out of control. Every single place I visited asked me to either donate or round my bill up for some bullshite, fake cause.
Of course I say NO every time because I do not trust where the money is going to. It's just ashamed that scumbags use events, tragedy, causes, etc to line their pockets off people who truly would like to help.
Now, I don't mind donating to a local high school team selling candy bars to raise money for their uniforms or whatever, but outside of that, frick these people.
For example. Remember the Pulse Mass Shooting in Orlando? Turned out to be a scam

It is irritating. I always say no. But I give quite a bit at church.

I remember the first time I saw the round up option. It was a Cabellas and was dedicated to the Louisiana waterfowl or something like that. It’s an awesome idea for the one organizations to get thousands of minor donations, but I hate that the stores are using it as take breaks

I say no thank you every time.
My kids and wife (no pics) already get all of my money.

I would only support a charity where I know and trust the people working there. Never give money without checking an orgs 990. Just by the executive total revenue vs comp you can get a pretty good idea of how ethical a charity is.

Shopping retail is turning into an exercise in being harassed. I don't want to round up, I don't need an extended warranty for the pencil that I just bought, and I am not applying for a credit card to save 5% off my purchase

The grocery store asks me to donate money to the poor people whilst I’m buying 3 things with my own money
Dear Albertsons, until you see me with a Louisiana purchase card, I am the poor people

It is the vagueness of it that gets me. "Would you like to round up your total to help with children's education?"
That means nothing to me, and really isn't a great line for me. I already donate for children's education with every single purchase I make, and that isn't even as vague as what they're asking. You're constantly asking me to voluntarily tax myself when I'm already taxed for the purpose of your fundraising drive? Nah......
In that vein, they'd be much better off asking me, "Would you like to round up your total to help fund the filling of some of these damn potholes around this fricking joint?"
I'd probably do that every single time. Though, someone would just grift that money, too, like the piles of tax dollars never used to fix the damn roads.

The only donation that always gets me is when pet smart asks me if I want to donate $5 to give a shelter pet a toy.

I only give money to a local animal adoption center and a small church in another state.

It's easy to say no when you can't even afford your groceries.

I actually applaud ppl like this.
Taking advantage of virtue signalers/white guilt has proven to be very profitable. Ask the founders of BLM.

Heaven forbid we give to charities.
