I was about the only Catholic in my classes when I didn't attend catholic school. Everyone was always trying to "save" my little heathen self.
I'm a Catholic currently living in Pineville
I have no earthly clue what I'm doing here

You should become friends with my family. Between my immediate family and extended relatives, we are probably 20% of all the Catholics there.
Ever do speed mass at the VA with father Steve?! It's great.

Thank You for the suggestions. Definitely might try out the pizza place. I am not sure what the OT defines as "trashy" per se. I assume it simply means rustic or not luxurious in scale.
BJs is the same as Johnny's pizza if you have ever had Johnny's. The place I was talking about is called Embers. I had to look up the name but it is similar pizza to Dominica in New Orleans.

I should correct myself... I'm a bad Catholic who's destined for Hell upon my demise

Well. There is still a strip club on that avenue in the same general location. The name itself might have changed.

Dude. It's NOT the same.
BJs tastes better.

or occasionally Spirits.
I forgot about this place. It is pretty nice... kind of similar to Chimes in regards to food... but not even close when it comes to the beer selection.

if you like to gamble... there's Jena Choctaw Pines about 20 minutes up the P'ville Expressway... Paragon about 30 minutes... & Choushatta about an hour away
ETA: this goes along with the bad Catholic headed to Hell post just up a bit

There's a state park by Kincaid with a big hiking trail. Went when I was 10.
Wild azalea trail... we hiked in in December when I was there. I assume it is beautiful in the spring when the azalea bushes are in bloom.

If you're a golfer, there's some pretty good golf in Alexandria across the river. Links on the Bayou (city course) and Oakwing are down the street from each other. Both pretty good tracks. I agree with the Mirror Room rec for drinks. Spirit's is also a good choice. Food is decent, but it's a pretty good atmosphere to hang out and drink. Good luck

Go hangout at the steps on the girls dorm at Louisiana College and watch them go in and out. Whistle and day hey girl to a few of them

Nope. On Hayden St. in Pineville. Where is that one?

Don't knock until about a half hour after the Uhaul leaves.

I'll give it shot. Thanks
Diamond Grill sucks. The Mirror room is a nice hang out. Embers is the pizza place across the street...good food. The Levee Bar/Restaurant in the lobby of the downtown Holiday Inn has excellent food.

Why don't you just go hang at an old-time barber shop and shoot the shite with the locals? It could be fun. Don't claim Taoism though. Just go with Baptist and you will be OK.

Me and 3 friends went to eat at Embers two weekends ago on a Saturday at 1 PM. There was one server for the whole restaurant who got our drinks wrong after telling us that 4 different beers were out of stock. He also forgot to bring us water. We had to leave for a wedding within an hour so we told him we would be eating quickly and closed out after getting our drinks and putting our orders in. He messed up the tabs 4 times and never did ring us up or come back to check. 48 minutes after placing our order (3 calzones and a pizza), the food still didn't come so we got up and left. We couldn't wait any more without being late to our wedding. That place has awful service.

I actually thought it was surprisingly decent in that regard, considering it's in Alexandria.
