was (maybe still is) the shopping center at the corner of Jefferson and Lobdell. Also had a location off George O'Neal and Tiger Bend.

Yeah, that place is still open off Jefferson by Whole Foods. I just wasn't sure if the old place by TJ's happened to share the same name as that.

A seafood restaurant on S. Acadian next to TJ Ribs. Had a delicious seafood muffaletta...I think I remember that place.
My dad used to pick up fried food plates with hush puppies from there when I was little. They still live around the corner from Acadian there. He told me the people that owned that place moved it over across the river on 190 in Erwinville (Camilles?).
Could be wrong about that. They had the best hush puppies, but I was like 5 so I probably thought anything was good back then.

Cafe Lagrange. I think it was run by the same family that had "The End of World" in Bayou Pigeon many years before.

It was built and opened as Western Sizzlin around 1973-74. I worked on the crew that built it. We all got AYCE coupons on opening night.

What was the name of the bar across the river on the road from I10 to Hwy 190 going to lobdell? Was it where the fruit stands are now or before it?
You must be thinking of the one that was right off the exit from 190 onto 415.
The Sans Souci.
That was one tough-looking place, never stopped there.
LC
Spent many nites sleeping in the parking lot of the San Souci....

Maggio's grocery store was on Hyacinth & Stephens right by the intersection of Carl Avenue.......Now the bldg is a real estate office. This was in like 1960 or so.
We lived at Carl & Mimosa right at back parking lot of St Aloysius. Used to ride bike or walk up to the grocery store & get one of those plank cookies with the pink icing and a bottled Coca Cola.

I haven't made it through all 16 pages, but through page nine no one mentioned a kids place in Bon Marche Mall that always smelled like waffles and had cotton candy and a pink panther character. They played cartoons in a dark room. It may have been called pink panther something. Or it could've just been a maintenance closet, and I need some serious regression therapy.
Wasn't there a place in Village Fair called Byron's that had video games, skee-ball, and good sandwiches? They had colorful umbrellas on a few outdoor tables. Sort of ahead of its time for the 80s , for a strip mall in BR.

I'm 51. I remember my parents taking us to Hopper's drive in when I was in Kindergarten. I remember Picadilly, and driving by the outside display windows of Kornmeyers furniture. I lived on Fairhaven Ave in Sherwood Forest. At that time it was the outskirts of town
