i think i remember there being a store in the middle of the parking lot in front of the old Broadmoor Theater that was sort of a flea market maybe. I know the old flea market at the Rebel shopping center.

That did exist. There was also "Bud's" there, which was kind-of a forerunner to Sam's Club and was owned by Wal-Mart.

I remember a Chinese buffet on Airline near I-12 and Old Hammond that was really good. We used to eat there with my uncles and my grandma on a regular basis.

The store was called I.H. Rubensteins. It was a fairly upscale clothing store. It was attached to the Broadmoor theater with a barber shop and Wesley's pizza in between.

i remember Mom taking me and my little brother there from time to time and she'd buy us little cheap trinket toys. I'm remembering it being set up like a flea market.

Later became a flea market for a while.

Building was demolished just 2-3 months ago.

I was young but a restaurant called Duff's Smorgesboard or something like that. Food rotated around on large lazy Susan like wheel. Probabaly "OT trashy" establishment, but I remember it.

I think it was where hooters on corporate is no.

This is correct. They demolished it right before the Hi Nabor grocery store moved in. The theatre is still standing. It is supposed to be demolished late next year.
